RICTA is now offering day classes in Electrical, Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Sprinklerfitting.
The day courses will be 8 weeks, 4 hours a day Monday through Friday, for a total of 160 hours. Completion of the class is equivalent to the first year of apprenticeship education requirements.
Electrical includes:
Orientation to the Electrical Trade; Electrical Safety; Introduction to Electrical Circuits; Electrical Theory; Introduction to the National Electrical Code; Device Boxes; Hand Bending; Raceways and Fittings; Conductors and Cables; Basic Electrical Construction Drawings; Residential Electrical Services; Electrical Test Equipment.
Introductory Craft Skill:
Basic Safety; Introduction to Construction Math; Introduction to Hand Tools; Introduction to Power Tools; Introduction to Construction; Basic Rigging; Basic Communication Skills; Basic Employability Skills; Introduction to Materials Handling.
HVAC includes:
Introductory to HVAC; Trade Mathematics; Copper and Plastic Piping Practices; Soldering and Brazing; Ferrous Metal Piping Practices; Basic Electricity; Introductory to Cooling; Introductory to Heating; Air Distribution Systems.
Introductory Craft Skill:
Basic Safety; Introduction to Construction Math; Introduction to Hand Tools; Introduction to Power Tools; Introduction to Construction; Basic Rigging; Basic Communication Skills; Basic Employability Skills; Introduction to Materials Handling.
Sprinklerfitting includes:
Orientation to the Trade; Introduction to Components and Systems; Steel Pipe; CPVC Pipe and Fittings; Copper Tube Systems; Underground Pipe.
Introductory Craft Skills:
Basic Safety; Introduction to Construction Math; Introduction to Hand Tools; Introduction to Power Tools; Introduction to Construction; Basic Rigging; Basic Communication Skills; Basic Employability Skills; Introduction to Materials Handling.
To register, print the registration form, return it to RICTA and bring it to the netWORKri office for processing if applying through netWORKri.
