Scholarships

SCHOLARSHIPS 

Multiple scholarships are available to anyone interested in entering into the Merit Shop construction industry.

 

1. Jeffrey A. Ward Electrical Scholarship

RI Construction Training Academy (RICTA) is proud to offer scholarships in honor of our own Jeffrey A. Ward.  Jeff served as an Electrical Instructor as well as RICTA Board Member.  He truly had passion for the electrical industry and for teaching.  Scholarship is for tuition assistance to RICTA's electrical program only. To apply for the scholarship, complete and submit the application. Click here for application.

2. John M. Lotocki - American Tele-Connect Services, Inc. Scholarship

John was a graduate of the High School of Aviation Trades and the Connecticut School of Electronics.  He served his country honorably in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. John was the co-founder and owner of American Tel-Connect Services, Inc.  John and wife Anne ran their family business for years and turned it over to their children.  John was always very enthusiastic about helping young men and women learn the trades.  He was a long-time member and supporter of Associated Builders and Contractors, Rhode Island Chapter and the Rhode Island Construction Training Academy in Pawtucket.

6. American Trucks

2 scholarships for $2,000 each are awarded twice a year (4 scholarships total) to students who are currently enrolled full-time in an accredited United States technical institute, 2/4 year college/university with program in construction management, secondary vo-tech school or tuition bearing apprenticeship program in the traditional building trades(e.g. carpentry, HVAC, electrical or related fields of study). Students pursuing certificate programs or apprenticeship programs are welcome to apply. Two scholarships will be awarded for the fall semester and two scholarships will be awarded for the spring semester.
