Scholarships

SCHOLARSHIPS 

Multiple scholarships are available to anyone interested in entering into the Merit Shop construction industry.

1. BrassCraft Zell Scholarship Program

The BrassCraft Zell scholarship program offers scholarship funds to apprentices up to $1,500.00 annually.  Students apply for the scholarship online through the website www.brasscraft.com/about-us/brasscraft-zell-scholarships/.  The criteria for receiving a scholarship  hasn’t changed – the student must be enrolled/enrolling in an accredited four or five year program and is apprenticing in pipe fitting.  The funds are sent directly to your school.  Rhode Island Construction Training Academy meets the criteria.


2. Trimmer Education Foundation Scholarship

The Trimmer Construction Education Fund and NCCER are pleased to announce the 2019 Build Your Future scholarship is now accepting applications. This opportunity is open to anyone who is currently pursuing craft professional training in the construction industry through an NCCER accredited program or a state or federally approved apprenticeship program in a merit-shop training facility. Applications will be accepted from now until August 2 , 2019. Ten scholarships valued at $2,000 for each recipient will be awarded. View and/or apply for scholarship criteria here.

3. American Trucks

2 scholarships for $2,000 each are awarded twice a year (4 scholarships total) to students who are currently enrolled full-time in an accredited United States technical institute, 2/4 year college/university with program in construction management, secondary votech school or tuition bearing apprenticeship program in the traditional building trades(e.g. carpentry, HVAC, electrical or related fields of study). Students pursuing certificate programs or apprenticeship programs are welcome to apply. Two scholarships will be awarded for the fall semester and two scholarships will be awarded for the spring semester.
